Looking closely at these giants, every wrinkle and pattern is unique and beautiful.

At the same time, seeing them so close made me more aware that not every place that calls itself a “sanctuary” actually treats them well. Many still allow elephant riding or bathing with tourists, which often means the animals have been trained in harmful ways.

If you ever visit elephants, take the time to research and support ethical places that respect their space and natural behavior. They deserve protection, not entertainment.
